FAQ
What do I do after a water damage disaster occurs?
Call 911 Restoration of Las Vegas as soon as possible, since every minute counts when minimizing water damage.
How long does the restoration process take?
The water mitigation process usually takes no more than 3 or 4 days.
What should I do first if there’s a water damage emergency?
The first thing you should do is stop the water at its source. Unless the flooding is due to an act of nature, find the source of the water and turn it off or seal it up. Before a disaster occurs, make sure everybody in the home knows where the water main is and how to turn it off. Remember to also turn off the electricity.
Can you save my flooring after a water damage disaster?
Yes. Expediency is key when it comes to hardwood flooring and water damage. If you are able to remove water quickly and dry the floors, you have an excellent chance of saving them before we get there.
How fast can mold grow on my property?
It only takes 24 to 48 hours for mold to germinate and grow. Typically, the spores begin to colonize in 3 to 12 days. The best thing to do to stop mold growth is to call 911 Restoration of Las Vegas.
Can I use bleach to remove mold?
Bleach does not kill mold on porous surfaces, and in some cases, it can actually lead to more mold growth. Chlorine bleach can only kill surface-level mold. Because mold can grow deep roots within porous surfaces, such as wood and drywall, bleach will not eliminate a mold issue.
How long does mold remediation take?
Mold remediation takes anywhere from 1 to 5 days, depending on the circumstances. The mold removal timeline depends on many factors, such as how much mold is present and where the mold is growing (behind walls, etc.). If you suspect that you have mold anywhere on your property, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes! We will work alongside your insurance carrier and take that additional stress and worry away from you.
